The Build Up
I take what I do very serious. Fight week build up is no different. The week leading up to the show is when the fighters are finishing up training camp and the companies, for the most part, have all their ducks in a row and are ready. This week we have been busy talking with fighters on the upcoming Gruesome MMA 4 card. Four professional fighter's took the time out of their schedule to speak with Greg Maynard and I. We appreciate that and we appreciate all the hard work that all the companies we cover are putting in.
Bluegrass MMA has grown from a small blog talking about the UFC fight card to being a go to reference for all things Kentucky MMA. I take pride in promoting and showcasing amateur fighters as well as the great promotions across the state. Without those guys there would be none of this.
We hope everyone enjoyed Bluegrass MMA Live this week. We dub ourselves "reality" radio. Just guys talking about MMA and Kentucky. You can subscribe and download the podcast 24/7 right from iTunes. Be sure to listen to our live commentary June 11th as Gruesome MMA brings you "Provoked" from Belfry High School!
"Provoked" To Set Stage For Huge Main Event
Listen to our chat with Jeremy Carper and Jamie Varner as they are preparing to go to battle Saturday night in Belfry at Gruesom MMA 4 "Provoked". This is one of the most exciting main events to hit the Bluegrass State in recent years. Jeremy Carper is a dangerous Muay Thai specialist with heavy hands and looks to thwart the ground game of Jamie Varner. Carper is fully aware of what a win against Varner could do for his career. Listen to both fighters talk it out with us! Ignore the ramblings of Greg Maynard and I and pay attention to the guests!
