This Saturday we go live from Sheperdsville to bring you commentary from the fights. This website is elite, top of the line and well stocked with complete MMA coverage from the UFC all the way to whats happening here in the Commonwealth. No doubt that this will be a great thing for Kentucky MMA as we look to follow in the footsteps of Brian Furby and bring great MMA coverage to a much larger audience..

A big announcement is on deck that is going to affect all of the fighters and promoters here in Kentucky. Contrary to popular belief, we here at Bluegrass MMA have no clue what it is going to be. Although several people have called the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority to address what they have heard from us, the fact is we haven't said anything. We will though as soon as its public.

September will feature a great gym profile and a great article on an up and coming fighter making his professional debut. Reaction MMA is dominating the events they participate in and after you read about them you should know why. Also undefeated fighter Matt Metts is making his professional debut on September 17th at Absolute Action MMA. This is a hard working guy who has great talent so be on the lookout.

Along with all of that we will continue to bring you everything that's going on with Kentucky MMA. Gruesome and Spartan Fighting Championship have shows this month so be sure to check out whats going on with them right here. Tonight we have the gang from Baddog MMA joining us to talk about their involvement Saturday night at Hard Rock MMA 40. These guys are rolling 8 deep to Sheperdsville in hopes to continue their winning ways. Team member Josh Blanchard is taking his unblemished  record into the main event as he battles Chad Deener in his professional debut.

Paul Chitwood is dropping by to talk about the debut of his new MMA apparel  company that is making its debut in vending Saturday night as well. Reality radio at its best going down tonight!

Hard Rock MMA 40 - Sheperdsville

One of Kentucky's longest running and professional promotions returns to action this Saturday night for Hard Rock MMA 40 in Sheperdsville, KY. As of now 22 fights are slated for a full night of some of the best MMA in the state. This card features some of the best up and comers in the sport as well as some of the most respected gyms in the area, Baddog MMA, E-Town Beatdown, Performance Edge and many more gyms have funnelled their fighters into this event for a showcase of talent. The festivities kick off Friday night with the weigh in show at Sports and Social Club which is located on 4th Street in Louisville. The after party will be held at the same location following the event Saturday night. The anticipation has been building for this event as the Sheperdsville crowd is known to pack to venue. Bellum Couture and Death Punch Fight Wear will be vending and you can find all your coverage from BluegrassMMA.com and our friends at CageCraze.com. . Also Bluegrass MMA writer Gary Thomas will be bringing all the results  and highlights to www.prommanow.com as part of a recent collaborative effort. Tonight kicks off Hard Rock MMA 40 coverage for the week on Bluegrass MMA Live. Fat Steve and I will be running down this huge fight card. Joining us to talk about his fight Saturday night representing E-Town Beatdown is 2-0 fighter Ricky Jones Jr. I was able to watch Ricky fight in Bowling Green back in May and look for great things out of this man. We will also be talking about what the Hard Rock crew has in store for the weekend on 4th Street in Louisville. As always we will be taking calls and the chat room will be open. September Starts With A Bang - Fight Week

This Saturday night kicks off a full month of great MMA action in Kentucky. Hard Rock MMA 40 is starting the month off with a night full of great fights in Sheperdsville. Chad Deener and Josh Blanchard headline a card with 20+ fights scheduled. We have 2 huge radio shows this week featuring a cast of characters from this event.

The Kentucky Boxing and Wresting Authority, the sanctioning body of MMA in KY, is set to make a huge announcement sometime within the very near future. Bluegrass MMA has been granted the exclusive news and as soon as the good folks at the KBWA are ready to proceed you will hear it first right here from us. All Kentucky fighters, promoters and trainers need to hear this I have been told and the commission is ready to take calls and answer questions on Bluegrass MMA Live when the news breaks.
