Absolute Action MMA Re-cap and Highlights

First and foremost we would like to take this opportunity to thank the crew at Absolute Action MMA for putting on an excellent show. Vice President of Operations Billy Donovan put together some great fights and Dr. Patel was very welcoming. For those of you who have never witnessed a live MMA show let us be the first to tell you that it is like nothing you have experienced before. From top to bottom an entertaining sports event that rivals most live performances that are out there. Absolute Action puts on a show that will leave you wanting more, wanting just one more fight and just one more chance to take in the sights & sounds of live fighting. You can tell the amount of hard work put into the creation and execution of the event. Our hats go off to all those involved and you can count on Bluegrass MMA being a fixture at AAMMA events in the future.

So here is a recap of the action from April 2nd at the Midwest Sports Complex in Florence Kentucky. These are my picks for featured fights.

Fight of the Night - Jinny Skees vs Alisa Hauschild.  Other than a short stoppage for a knee this fight was back and forth. Great kicks by Hauschild but a nasty armbar in Round 3 ends this exciting fight with Skees armed being raised in victory.

Submission of the Night -  Chancelor Edmonson toyed with Jason Carrier before he locked in a sick guillotine 2 minutes into the first round. Edmonson looks like he will be a force to be reckoned with. Look for big things out of this guy.

Knockout of the Night -  Hands down one of the nastiest most brutal KO's I have ever seen.  Jared "Honey" Combs landed a powerful head kick that turned the lights out on Tyson Triplett. After several long minutes Triplett was helped up but looked very unstable on his feet. Combs gets a victory and one of the greatest knockouts of any MMA show I have seen.

I could type for days on the show. It was stellar and had some great local fighters who are looking to move into the professional realm. If you take anything out of reading this know that Absolute Action shows are worth the price of admission. Great fans and great fights. Here is a quick rundown of the entire card as reported by Chad Cunningham of CageCraze.com. You can check out his full article at:
