UFC 126 Recap

Well our predictions weren't spot on but we got most of the winners right. A brief recap while its still fresh.

Demetrious Johnson shows speed, agility and great takedown skills to put the "Kid" to rest. Yamamoto didn't have a chance tonight and Johnson looks great in his UFC debut. WEC well represented tonight.

Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone chokes the snot out of Paul Kelly. Kelly comes out and doesn't touch gloves, says he does but looking disrespectful from the get go. Cerrone does what he knows and puts on a very worthy Fight of the Night performance. A deep choke puts an end to this one in the second. Both fighters win the bonus.

Chad "Money" Mendes grinds out a not so exciting fight against Michihiro Omigawa. 3 rounds of failed takedowns by Mendes but cuts Omigawa and does what he has to do get his hand raised at the end of the night.

Miguel Angel Torres wins in a snooze fest against Antonio Banuelos. He looked far past his days of being champion. Torres worked his jab and really stayed a step ahead of Banuelos.

Jon "Bones" Jones submits Ryan "Darth" Bader via choke in the 2nd round. Bones dominated this fight from top to bottom and was clearly the Submission of the Night winner.  After the fight Joe Rogan announces that Bones will be facing Shogun Rua at UFC 128 with the Light Heavyweight title on the line. Bones thanks God and tells the MMA live crew that he will be back training Thursday.

Forrest Griffin defeats Rich Franklin via unanimous decision. Forrest takes this one fairly easy. His size was a big advantage in this one. Forrest wins, Rich looks to be moving back to Middleweight if he moves at all. He had nothing tonight.

Anderson Silva kicks the face off of Vitor Belfort in the first round to remain the undisputed Middleweight Champion.  As announced he has been champ since 2006. Nothing new here guys and not much to say. He put is foot into the cranium of Vitor and then landed a couple of punches before he leaped onto the cage just as we have seen for years.

We will discuss more as the week goes on but there is no rest for the wicked. Strikeforce is a week away from another card and bet the farm Bluegrass MMA will be putting our 2 cents in.

Signing out for the night Big Dump Daddy says peace love and MMA.
